Tonight has just been a blessing!! I prayed that the Lord would direct our night tonight and He totally orchestrated every moment of it. Spending it with Family and friends we love. We went to church which was a blessing. Our pastor talked about the prophesy update, it was very interesting, you can check it out here at CCGV, it's on the right hand side under prophesy update 2008. Then we headed out to eat and went to watch the fireworks at Lake Las Vegas. The crowd wasn't too bad. It actually wasn't as crowded as the strip and what I had expected. We had a really good view and a really good time. Our girls were a little freaked out by the loud sound. The Lord totally blessed every minute of it, He showed me in soo many ways that night.

I'm learning to trust more on and in Him, than my own understanding. My own understanding just gets me into trouble. As I reflected back on this year, on what He's done, shown and blessed me with! He has answered many desires of my heart, that I've been praying for the last couple of years. He's allowed me to stay home with my family (I've been praying for 5 or more years for that, and he answered my prayer). He's brought so many awesome friends in my life. He's revealing Himself to me more and more each day!! He's also brought me and my love, my Husband closer and closer to Him and to eachother, which has been a desire of my heart for a while. I see now why He does it in His timing. Sometimes He will answer our prays to show us that what we wanted really isn't what He wants for us. But it's a learning experience and a process. It's kind of like when you tell your children no you can't do that because of this or that reason, but then you say ok you can have it but I'm showing you why I don't want you to. It teaches them that sometimes what they really want isn't really what they really want. And the Lord has shown me that this year. He is totally stretching me in directions that I would've never have thought. I am taking this year 2008 and learning from all my mistakes and thanking God for them. Because, I wouldn't learn at all, or grow. There's always a reason for trials, it's to strengthen you, grow you and mold you into His image. So always thank the Lord for your trials, He's training you up, teaching you and molding you because He loves you!!! Look back on this past year and ask God to show you the areas of sin and weakness that might have hindered your spiritual growth.

Repent
Confess your sin and ask God to forgive you.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just nd will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. I John 1:9 (NIV)
Refresh
Ask God to refresh you and to give you a new vision for the year ahead.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)....this is one of my favorite verses, it's one I hold on to dearly.
Renew
Ask God to help you see your life from His perspective, and renew your commitment to His vision and purpose for your life.
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but he transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - His good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2 (NIV)
Lord I lift up every person that reads this that their heart would be ministered to that Lord if they are not right with you that they would get right with you and Father I just lift them up to and pray for a hedge of protection over them this year as they look back and may you just reveal yourself to them. It's in your Holy and precious name I pray AMEN!!!
