September has hit our door steps - it brings the Fall season - the beginning of my favorite time of year, all the way through Spring!!! There is something about the crisp air, the turning and falling leaves, a new season {fresh start} that brings joy to my soul, and basking in God's glorious creation that He blesses us with each year during this time.
As a new season approaches it's an opportunity for me to reflect upon the things that the Lord has showed and done for me this past summer. How am I going to apply that to this new season? What are things that I need to get rid of that are hindering my walk with Him, or add to it? I enjoyed my summer this year. I learned alot of new things, I'm in a new season in my walk and life. And I can't wait to see what He has in store for me in this new season.
For this fall season I am starting to prepare my heart and home for what the Lord has in store. I'm open to what He has to show me. And the Holidays to come and all the fun blessings that comes with these times.
My favorite time of the day is in the early morning {before I do anything else} soaking in all of God's truths {His word}, basking in all of His glory, and sipping on a nice cup of a warm yummy drink.
This season my focus will be on these four things:
F- Fellowship With Christ (and Others).
A- Abiding in Christ.
L- Leaning on Christ.
L- Living for Christ.
I loved this acronym, it was perfect for what my focus is on this season. It also reminds me that I need to fall on my knees to my Heavenly Father more. I need to trust Him more, glean from Him more, I just need Him more and more in my life. I can't get enough of Him!! Would Your Holiness surround me Lord! I want to fall more in love with Him, like no other.
This is also a great time to reflect upon the things that God is wanting me to 'let go' of. I learned this summer to let go of alot of things. I no longer have control....He does. As I saught the Lord He showed me all the things that were "fall-ing" from me that He didn't want there anymore. It is refreshing to know that He will replace those things He removed in me with new things, more characteristics/traits of Him. Sometimes we allow ourselves to get distracted by too many things or let other things take presidence over Him. We need to be very careful what we let enter in our hearts and minds. Filter everything through the Lord.
" And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart."
Jeremiah 29:13 NKJV
"Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my anxieties..."
Psalm 139:23 NKJV
" But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord, that I may declare all Your works." Psalm 73:28 NKJV
"Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded. James 4:8 NKJV

I stumbled upon this {below} and it is so true for me in this season of 'Life' I am in right now......
In the fall the chlorophyll breaks down because of certain elements, which cause the other pigments to break out, and we see what becomes our beautiful fall leaves. There are three basic elements that affect that chlorophyll breaking down. Those are temperature, light, and water. During the fall the temperature drops having an effect. The days are shorter so there is less sunlight, and there is less water because of the rain level.
Pondering all this set me to thinking how that is so how we are as Christians. When we are sailing along without any problems we stay green and in the comfortable zone, but if it weren't for the little less sunlight of a few bumps in the road in the way of trials, a few cold days of heartaches, and a little less water when we feel we can't handle the burdens, then all of a sudden we become beautiful as a Christian. All that food or Word of God we've stored in our cells will make us stronger. God uses all those bumps, heartaches, and burdens to bring out our color and brilliance so that we can be beautiful for Him. He is the Master Creator. He knows what He is doing.
Job 23:10
I encourage you to really take time out to bask in His word and in His glory. Fall more in love with Him than ever before.
Fall Blessings to you!! By His Grace,
Adrienne
