I heart Wags... Here's why I only paid $0.51 {in the end, but needed $8 OPP} Let me explain!

Today I was a little late in getting to Wags {aka: Walgreens} because it took me almost all day to find some good deals. And so when I did scan those Wags ads, I found a few things that I could use that would pretty much pay me for shopping, so off running I went. So this is what I found...here are the scenerios

Abbreviations: Wags =Walgreens, OPP = Out of Pocket, RR = Money in a coupon coming back to you not sure the exact name for RR {anyone know leave me a comment}, B1G1 = buy one get one free,

Deals I Saw:

Thermacare Heat Wrap: $2.49; get $2.49 back in RR {they are paying you back for buying it, love it and Michael could use this...totally scored...but wait it gets better}

Total OOP: $1.49, get $2.49 RR
Total: $1 Money Maker!!

**Oust Air Sanatizer: B1G1
-use B1G1 coupon from 1/3 SS
Total: 2 for FREE!**

Triaminic products: buy 2 for $10; get $5 RR
-use 2 $3/1 Triaminic Thin Strips from 12/6 SS OR
-use 2 $2/1 Triaminic products from 12/6 SS OR
-use 2 $1.50/1 coupon HERE
Total OOP: $5, get $5 RR back

I use some really great blogs for all these Wag runs,  go to Kingdom First Mom and Couponing for Deals and check out all their great ideas. I used some of their's and tweeked them a little but here is what I did:

Here is MY $8 {usually should be $5} Scenario for the week of January 10th:

Transaction #1
~Buy 1 Thermacare Neck & Arm Wrap 1 ct @ $2.49 {reg price $3.99)
$1.00/1 Thermacare Printable Coupon {click on link from above to get coupon}
Total: $2.49-$1.00 {CPN}=$1.49 OPP,  then get back $2.49 RR

~Buy 2 Oust Air Sanatizer: B1G1 {in store sale, reg price $4.49 each}
-use B1G1 coupon from 1/3 SS
Total: 2 for FREE!**

Total After Coupon= $1.49 = 8.1% tax {.55}= $2.04 OPP

RRs Earned $2.49 {to use towards transaction #2, below}, made $2.45 back...score, I love when they pay me to shop}

Transactions #2 {this was the one I thought of that wasn't on her website}
Buy Triaminic 2 for $10; get $5 RR {reg price $6.49each)
-use 2 $3/1 Triaminic Thin Strips from 12/6 SS OR
-use 2 $2/1 Triaminic products from 12/6 SS OR
-use 2 $1.50/1 coupon HERE
Total OOP: $5, get $5 RR {their paying me again}

Rimmel Cosmetics are 50% off right now and some stuff is really cheap. I needed some lip gloss and they were on sale for $1.69, I forgot what reg price was but it was somewhere around $4.
Buy 2 or 1 for $1.69 each
-use 2 or 1 $1/1 Rimmel any (exp2/28/10) RP {Red Plum}-12/13/09 OR
-use 2 $1/1 Rimmel any lasting finish {exp 02/28/10)RP-12/13/09
{Note to self: only do one of these next time, their system said I had to many coupons to use so I only got to use one of these and paid sale price for the second one, I am going tomorrow to return and then buy it back with coupon, because I am ghettofrugalicious like that..LOL)
Total OPP: $0.69 after coupon.
{But I paid $2.38 because I could only use one coupon, going back tomorrow to return and buy back using the coupon to only pay $0.69}

Total Purchase: $4.88 +{8.1%tax} 1.08 = $5.96 {total savings $22.08} oh and don't forget they paid me $5 RR's for my next wags run. So essentially I only paid $.96 for all that.

So all together OPP ($5.96 + $2.04) =$8.00 exactly
Wags paid me back {$2.49 + $5.00} = $7.49 Back
Everything I got for only...................=$0.51
I essentially only paid $0.51 for both transactions. This is why I love Wags and couponing. {FYI...I don't love it more than Jesu, Jesus Rocks and is and will always be #1.
