This year my one word is Abide
For me this word means a lot to me. Abiding in Christ, the true vine is what I need to practice more this year. Not only is He the sustenance of my life, but He is the life. I prayed over the word for this year and this was the one that came to my mind. Staying connected to the one true source of life is the best thing you could do for yourself. He gives and breathes life into me. Without Him I'm nothing.
This month, well it's had it's challenges, but I wasn't practicing the abiding part so much. And God has showed me some new insights to things.
"And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29:13"
We must seek the Lord to abide in Him. When was the last time you've opened your bible? Can I tell you that it is alive. I tried to explain this to my lil' punkin and she thought that it had a heart and was alive in that way. So sweet they way they think, so literal.
Being in God's word is being intentional, and if your not in it your not feeding your self, your not abiding. But once you open it and take in every ounce of life He has for you in those words it changes you. It moves your soul like nothing else will.
If your feeling alone, discouraged, fearful, frustrated, down just know that God loves you no matter what. But I want to encourage you, as I am myself, open up His word and abide in it. You can not go wrong, it will be the best investment, I promise.
As we are coming to a close on January I'm taking with me that in order to abide in God, I need have to stay in His word. period.
I want to share this video with you of what God has showed me and I want to encourage you.
Blessings,
Adrienne
